The arc — the milestones landed and the number did not move. Six flat 3s, then a 2 on the day that supplied every reason to go up: she replied to his text, he held under 400, and he passed 150 lbs lost. The following day (8/29, next week) came in at 1 — his words, it "got pretty dark." The descent is 3 → 2 → 1 across the exact stretch the good news landed in.
And the account of what drives this broke. Last week concluded the lever was social contact, not social outcome — drawn from 8/19, a full day on the apps for zero replies that produced that week's best reading. This week is the mirror case: contact and outcome both positive, mood at its lowest. Cody predicted it in advance and got it backwards in his own words — "If she replies to my text this morning, I might end at a 4 or 5, if not, I'll likely spiral down to a 1 or 2." She replied. He went 2, then 1. Neither version of the model predicts that. Cody's own read, offered tentatively and kept that way — "it's hard to say. I think it's just insecurity or something." It is at least consistent in a way the contact model is not: a reply does not resolve insecurity, it extends what there is to be insecure about. A shape to watch, not a conclusion.
The instrument changed this week. Two straight weeks of flat day-level integers over days Cody described as containing real 1s and 2s. A mood range field now sits alongside the daily number — 8/28 was a 2 with a 2–3 range, 8/29 a 1 with a 1–2 range. The single figure this panel plots stays as the day-level read; the spread is captured beside it rather than lost.
The flattest week in the file, over the week with the largest events in it. Energy 3.0 every single day; mood 3, 3, 3, 3, 3, 3, 2. A first date in five years, crossing under 400, and 150 lbs lost moved the daily number by nothing — and the one day it did move, it moved down.

Game devWritingMusicArt
One ship, then quiet. The devlog shipped on 08-23 — a work-projects section (seven titles, chronological) and a music post embedding the overworld and cave themes, with site-wide title case adopted and documented. Nothing creative after it. ClassicRPG is 22 days untouched (since 08-06), the signature motif since 06-01. The 21-item idea backlog is unchanged from last week and stays deliberately un-triaged — no growth, so nothing forces the question. Worth noting what the one ship was for: the music post existed so he could send a link to a woman he had matched with rather than raw audio over text, and he shaped it for a reader who does not know his work. The week's only creative output was aimed directly at the thread driving his mood.

Health Priority · IV
Under 400 on 8/27 — the first time since ~550 in September 2025, and roughly 151 lbs down. It held at 399.0 the next morning rather than bouncing, so it is a crossing and not a single reading. But the weekly rate still has not converged. Week average 400.5 against 405.1 — a −4.6 week, the third consecutive outsized one against a prediction that they would settle back toward 2–3. The ledger can now answer why, and the answer is that the scale is still lying rather than the model being wrong. Measured intake across the week — six pattern days plus a fully-tracked 4,670 kcal blowout — averages ~1,721/day. A 4.6 lb/wk loss implies a ~2,300/day deficit, back-solving to a TDEE near 4,000, which is not a real number; uncorrected Mifflin-St Jeor at sedentary gives ~3,480 and is already known to overstate. The residual is fluid still leaving the plateau that broke on 8/8 (420.2 → 410.2 in four days). Do not revise the TDEE band upward on this. One thing that worked exactly as designed: Friday's blowout moved the 7-day average by zero — 400.5 before, 400.5 after. That is the plan's stated reason for replacing daily readings with the average after a spend, tested against a real event for the first time.
